Michael Beck

Founder and CEO

Michael Beck, a serial entrepreneur, angel investor, and technology enthusiast who has made significant strides in the oil and gas industry since graduating from the University of Alberta in 1994. With a knack for innovation, Michael revolutionized wellbore electronics by introducing testing procedures now widely adopted across the sector. In 1999, he founded a service company that laid the groundwork for his venture into quantifying methane emissions, offering a solid basis for reduction strategies. This initiative marked the beginning of a legacy project that evolved into VentMEDIC, a world-class technology under Michael’s leadership as Founder and CEO. 

Known for his core values of accuracy and accountability, Michael has contributed over two decades to testing wellhead emissions. His commitment to integrity and an audit trail has been pivotal in developing his technology roadmap, guided by feedback from a diverse client base and insights from mentors who are often his most constructive critics.

Ted Guglielmi

Chief Operating Officer

Ted Guglielmi is a dynamic business leader and results-oriented, with over 35 years of Information Technology experience. He has shown unprecedented success in the execution of long-term performance strategy measures, achievement of objectives and the establishment of strategic policies for business resources internationally while integrating IT resources to the business activities to provide sustainable solutions. 
 
Excellent mastery of systems architecture and development to capture and integrate data to facilitate information access to enable decision making. He takes on challenges with determination and has contagious enthusiasm to improve business performance. A visionary who always ensures the satisfaction of customers and users as a guarantee of success for the company. Ted’s goal is to help organizations on their journey in technology, digital transformation, e-commerce and cybersecurity.

Todd Strang

Chief Financial Officer

Todd Strang is an experienced legal professional, having commenced his practice in 2002. He is currently licensed to practice law in the provinces of Alberta and British Columbia. Todd’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree from Memorial University, as well as a combined LLB/MBA degree from the University of New Brunswick. In 2012 he obtained an LLM from the University of London, specializing in corporate and securities law. Todd successfully completed CPA Canada’s In Depth Tax Course in 2020, further enhancing his expertise in the field. 
 
Throughout his career, Todd has represented and provided counsel to numerous clients operating in the energy services sector. His comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the industry make him a trusted advisor in matters within the sector.

Shlok Srivastava, P.Eng

Chief Technology Officer

Shlok Srivastava is a dynamic Petroleum Engineer from the University of Alberta, blending technical expertise with strategic business insights. With a career dedicated to optimizing energy resources, Shlok has led pioneering projects in retrofitting commercial buildings with legacy oil and gas assets and has a strong background in geothermal and CCUS applications.  His work extends to comprehensive oil and gas reservoir analysis, energy audits, and the development of innovative data analytics platforms. 
 
Over eight years, Shlok has excelled in bridging the gap between industry, government, and regulatory bodies to tackle pressing issues of food and energy security. Notably, his contributions include identifying key methane emission reduction opportunities in Canada’s LNG production system, spearheading Canada’s first oil well-to-geothermal conversion project, and developing a geospatial heatmap for CO2 emissions from large-scale energy processes for a feasible CCUS application. Shlok’s entrepreneurial spirit has driven him to lead significant engineering design projects while demonstrating his capability in business management, strategic planning, and operations.
